LAUGHTER detection may help make you happier and healthier.
Using our groundwork which registers pressure changes with the help of sensors, we're experimenting with the development of a laughter detection device. We try using various sensors: pressure, accelerometer, etc and analyze team with the help of algorithms.
Applying the sensor to various parts of a throat you can see characteristic oscillations. It allows creating a device in the form of a choker (which will make it a fashionable product), putting pressure sensors in its different places.
An option for implementation can a bluetooth device charged from USB and working in pair with a smartphone. The device can be used for psychological therapy purposes or for treatment of people with mental disorders, as well as just for fun and making the world happier.
The only similar concept we found was created by a
Japanese company YUKAI Engineering Inc. & targets elderly people.
Still it's just a prototype, not on the shelf yet.
