Yesterday George Brown honorary degree recipient and award winning fashion designer, George Sully joined us for a special conversation celebrating his upcoming memoir, Designing in the Dark. From fashion and entrepreneurship to creativity, identity and resilience, George shared his journey of finding his own path and building a future on his own terms. His story is a reminder that there isn't just one path forward, it is about discovering yours and owning what comes next.

⚠️ A quick campus safety reminder: E-scooters are not permitted on George Brown Polytechnic premises.
This means e-scooters cannot be operated, brought inside, stored or charged at George Brown campuses and facilities.
The policy helps keep our community safe and supports existing City of Toronto e-scooter regulations.
♿ Mobility devices used by people with disabilities are exempt from these restrictions.

Our Interior Design and Architectural Technology students are helping restore the historic Crystal Palace model at the CNE putting their skills to work while preserving a piece of Toronto history. George Brown teams continue to work closely with electrical contractors to restore power at Casa Loma Campus following the damage caused by yesterday’s extreme weather conditions.
At this time, restoration work remains ongoing and Casa Loma Campus ONLY will remain closed until further notice.
We understand this situation has disrupted plans for students and employees, particularly those who were scheduled to attend Orientation activities. Our teams will continue recovery efforts throughout the coming days, and we will share further updates over the weekend.
