If I had to pick my favourite day I spent in Japan, it would be my day on Miyajima Island. Between the views of the Seto Sea, hiking, roaming deer, and the stunning temples, Miyajima is not to be missed.
It's one of the reasons I stayed overnight in Hiroshima instead of trying to pack everything into a day trip from Kyoto.
