It’s that time of year again where we’re facing a seasonal transition in growing region for lettuce and leafy greens. As the Salinas growing season winds down, weather, insects, and disease pressure are already tightening lettuce and leafy green supplies in the market.

Looking ahead, El Niño is expected to peak December–March, bringing the potential for more rain, storms + cooler temperatures in key growing regions, meaning some disruption could continue through winter before gradually stabilizing in spring.

Our Purchasing team is actively working across growing regions to secure supply and minimize disruptions. For now, build some flexibility into menus and flag any high-volume needs with your rep early!

Last Wednesday, we had the privilege of visiting Haven on the Queensway for a tour and to present our donation.

Thanks to the incredible support from our partners, sponsors and players at this year’s Bondi Family Foundation Charity Golf Tournament, we were able to raise $50,000 for Haven more than we were able to give last year. 🧡

Visiting Haven gives us the opportunity to see firsthand where these funds go and the impact they have supporting the programs, resources and services that help individuals and families in our community every day.

A huge thank you to the entire Haven team for everything you do to support those in need in our community. We’re proud to be able to contribute and help support the incredible work you do.
