Williamson Rd School Council

☕️ THANK YOU, W***Y!

Thank you to everyone who came out for the Welcome Coffee this morning! What a great turnout! We loved spending the morning with you, meeting new faces, catching up with familiar ones, and seeing W***y families connect with each other. 🥰

📸 Pictured in the first photo: some of the 2026-2027 W***y SAC Executive Members - missing a few of our superstars! - along with the amazing and so adored heart of our school, Frances. 💙

A huge thank you to the wonderful local businesses who helped make the morning extra special:

☕️ W***y parent-owned Paper Route Café for the generous coffee contribution
🥐 COBS Bread on Queen for the yummy treats
☕️ Starbucks at Kingston & Bingham for the coffee and hot water

And a special shout-out to Shannon for securing these generous contributions, Kelly for all the pickup and set-up help, and all the other wonderful volunteers who jumped in to lend a hand this morning! It truly takes a community, and we’re so grateful for everyone who helps make these little moments happen. 🙌💙

Mornings like this are such a great reminder of what makes W***y so special - the people, the connections, and the incredible community that surrounds our kids every day.

We’re so happy to kick off another year together and can’t wait for all the opportunities ahead to connect, get involved, have some fun, and keep building this wonderful W***y community together! 💙✨

✨ W***Y SAC COMMITTEES - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! ✨

Want to get involved at W***y this year?

W***y SAC events and initiatives are 100% powered by parent and caregiver volunteers, with support from the amazing school staff - and we’d love your help!

We’re forming the 2026-2027 committees, and you don’t need to be a SAC member to join. Committees can also have co-leads, so you can team up with another parent/caregiver and share the planning. 🙌

There are lots of ways to get involved, including:

🌱 Gardening
📚 W***y Reads
🍕 Special Feature Lunches
🚲 Kindie Bike Rodeo
🪩 DJ Mike Dance Party
🏳️‍🌈 2SLGBTQIA+
🎉 JuneFest
👕 Coat & Apparel Drive
💰 Grant Applications & Event Fundraising
🍎 Staff Appreciation Lunch
🎓 Grade 6 Graduation
💙 Caring & Safe School
…and more!

👉 Visit the W***y SAC Committees page through the link in our bio to learn more and sign up!

Some events and initiatives can only happen if we have enough volunteers, so every bit of help makes a difference. 💙

Not ready to join a committee? You can still volunteer on the day of SAC events! Email [email protected] or DM to join our volunteer list.
