I just love our last featured donor in the series... meet Peyton, founder of Project Be Kind!

Peyton came in with a twinkle in her eye and instantly made me believe the future is in good hands. With a vision well beyond her years, she's built .bekind around a simple but powerful idea: that kindness has the power to change the world one small act at a time.

One of the many ways she lights the world up is by bringing birthday celebrations to children living at Red Door Family Shelter. Through her dedication, kids who are going through incredibly difficult times get to experience the joy, excitement, and magic of having their very own birthday celebrated. It's a beautiful reminder that even the smallest acts of kindness can leave the biggest impact.

It was such a pleasure meeting Peyton. She's thoughtful, inspiring, and I can't wait to see all the lives she'll continue to touch through Project Be Kind.

What a great time meeting Taylor from !

Taylor's my kind of vibe! She's kind, funny, incredibly down-to-earth, and instantly makes you feel comfortable. After spending time with her, I can confidently say I'd trust her with my hair in a heartbeat!

Through Hair Goddess TO, Taylor helps people feel confident and beautiful every day, and she's also found ways to give back to organizations like Red Door Family Shelter . I always love meeting people who use their talents and success to make a positive impact in their community.

It was such a pleasure photographing Taylor. She brought so much warmth, laughter, and positive energy to the session—and I'm pretty sure she makes everyone around her feel a lot more fabulous!

Today we give a shout out to Jim O'Reilly, Executive Director of The Chawkers Foundation.

The Chawkers Foundation believes in helping good people do good work and is one of the many organizations that benefit from that philosophy. By investing in charities doing meaningful work in their communities, the Foundation helps create lasting impact where it's needed most.

Jim was an absolute pleasure to meet. He was incredibly down-to-earth, easy to talk to, and humble. It's clear that behind every grant and every partnership is someone who genuinely cares about the people and organizations that are being supported.

It was an honour to photograph Jim and celebrate not only the work he does, but the ripple effect it creates. Choosing to invest in community makes it possible for organizations like Red Door Family Shelter to continue changing lives every single day.

Meet the incredible team at .beauty.bar started up by a mother-daughter duo!

From flawless nails and glowing facials to brows, lashes, laser treatments, body treatments and more, they're all about helping people feel their best. But what I love most is that beauty goes beyond what you see in the mirror. They believe self-care is about how you feel, too, and that same kindness extends into the community through their support of Door Family Shelter.

Working with them was such a blast! Their energy is fun, welcoming, and completely genuine. It's easy to see why clients keep coming back—not just for beautiful results, but for the experience of being cared for. Try them out in Leslieville, Toronto today!

Here's to embracing your beauty every day... on the outside and on the inside. The world could always use a little more of both.

Next up, immerse yourself in all the good vibes that are from our Red Door Family Shelter series!

Jessica has a way of making everyone around her feel good about themselves. Whether she's supporting Red Door Shelter through her work or simply showing up with kindness and positivity, I can tell that she leads with a genuine heart. Spending time with her reminded me that confidence isn't about perfection... it's about embracing who you are and celebrating every step of your journey. Her warmth is contagious, and it's easy to see why she makes such a positive impact on the people around her.

It was such a pleasure photographing Jessica, and I hope these images always remind her of the joy, confidence, and light she brings wherever she goes.

Next up in our Red Door Family Shelter series is the brilliant Merrissa from Left Field Brewery.

If you've ever slammed back a Left Field beer, chances are you're supporting Left Field's generosity. Merrissa and the team are always finding ways to support the community, and it was so nice to have the chance to celebrate her for a change.

As the Marketing Director, she's usually the one behind the scenes making the magic happen. So it was fun to turn the tables and have her step in front of the camera instead! She's a natural with her warm smile, easygoing personality, and great sense of humour.

It was such a pleasure photographing Merrissa, and I'm so grateful for people like her and community-minded businesses like Left Field Brewery who continue to show up and give back in meaningful ways.

Next up in our Red Door Family Shelter series is an incredibly inspiring woman whose strength and generosity shine through in everything she does.

After living with thyroid cancer since childhood, she's faced more challenges than most people ever will. Yet through it all, she continues to find ways to give back... from donating her hair for the sixth time to raising funds for cancer research through Team Terry Fox. Her resilience, kindness, and determination to turn hardship into hope are remarkable!

It was such an honour to photograph her and hear the story behind these images. They represent so much more than a haircut. They celebrate courage, healing, and the incredible impact one person can have on others.

Next up in our Door Family Shelter series are Esther and Kevin (and their adorable four-legged sidekick 🐾).

One of my favourite things about shooting for the Red Door is meeting people who choose to give back not because they have to, but because they genuinely care. Esther and Kevin are a wonderful example of that.

Couples who share a passion for something bigger than themselves are a pretty special team! Having a cause you both care about is such a meaningful way to spend time together, create memories, and make a positive impact along the way. And let's be honest... every community mission is a little more fun when your dog gets to be part of it too!

It was a pleasure photographing the three of them, and I'm so grateful for generous, kind-hearted people like Esther and Kevin who continue to show up for Red Door Family Shelter.

Next up in our Red Door Family Shelter series are the founders of Bloom Forward.

These women aren't waiting for someone else to tackle the gaps in women's health—they're getting to work themselves. Through Bloom Forward, they're building a nonprofit that connects charities, foundations, researchers, healthcare professionals, industry, and government to move women's health advocacy forward and create real community around it.

I loved meeting them. They're smart & driven. The future is in good hands with young women like them leading the charge and creating more opportunities for other women along the way.

It was a pleasure photographing them, and I'm looking forward to watching Bloom Forward grow.

The next person I'd love to introduce you to is Eleanor Bothwell.

Eleanor is one of the many people who chooses to support Door Family Shelter and I'm so glad our paths crossed through this project.

One of my favourite surprises from the day? She brought her dogs along for the photos. As much as I love photographing people, I'm never going to complain when a couple of four-legged friends join the session too :)

What I love most about this series is seeing the many different ways people support their community. Some volunteer, some fundraise, some advocate, and some quietly give what they can. Every contribution matters, and together they help make Red Door's work possible.

Thank you, Eleanor, for being part of that community. It was such a pleasure photographing you and your sweet sidekicks!
