Happy Fall! 🍂
As we step into a new season, it's tempting to go out and splurge on new decor. But before you do, check your own vault first - you might be surprised what's already in there, and how much can be refurbished or restyled into something that feels brand new.
A pop of orange here, a warm throw there… sometimes refreshing a space isn't about buying more, it's about seeing what you already have differently.

Modern-transitional Living 🌿
As we say goodbye to summer and step into fall, here’s a residence that shows its own transitional elements - a net-zero ready luxury bungalow in a prestigious Kitchener neighbourhood, designed in collaboration with Grason Homes.
This home is modern transitional living at its best: two-tone kitchens, an open-concept layout, and advanced technological enhancements, all balanced with a warm palette. Contemporary but never cold.
Shoutout to Christine, who designed this project alongside me. We’re proud of how this model home turned out.

Fashion Friday: On-Site Edition ✨
Did you miss Fashion Friday? Because it’s back - just not how you’re used to seeing it.
This is what going on site actually looks like. Construction boots, a hard hats, joggers… No heels. No glamour. Just the real version of what this job looks like most days: a little dusty, a little unpredictable, and somehow still one of my favourite parts of the job. This is design behind the scenes!!

I had the pleasure of joining a panel titled The Language of Design — The Anatomy of a Project: Roles Defined, alongside renowned architect Lorne Rose and Principal Designer Sheree Stuart Design, to a full house of industry professionals!
There’s a misconception that architects and designers work in separate lanes, but in reality our expertise works hand in hand to bring a client’s vision to life, and this conversation proved it. Such a fun, engaging, and genuinely informative discussion, and always encouraging to see suppliers stepping up to support and build Canada’s industry 🍁
Over thirty years in this business and there’s still so much to learn from your peers. A huuuge thank you to the best team at Living Luxe and Weaver’s Art for organizing an incredible day, and to Lorne and Sheree for sharing their talent and experience. Always grateful to reconnect with familiar faces and meet new ones.

NEW SERIES: GOLDEN OAK + COLOUR 🎨
Golden oak, we meet again! It’s still one of our most requested topics and today we’re going beyond white. Want colour instead? Charcoals, greige, or a creamy white with a little energy to it - think Benjamin Moore’s Cake Batter, not plain cream.
Stay clear of blue undertones - that’s the one that always picks a fight with your floor.
Yes, this floor is bossy, but it’s also a great floor and it deserves better than getting ripped out for the next trend. There’s so much more we can do with it - stay tuned! (Images shown are for educational and colour reference purposes only. Actual paint and floor colours may vary.)

Where does it all go? 👀
This is one of my favourite questions to answer in a home - and millwork is the answer! Every drawer and cabinet here was designed and built to hide the everyday, so the room itself can just breathe.
This is what I mean by stylish and functional. They’re not two separate goals, they're the same decision. Reducing visual clutter starts with your storage strategy, and investing in millwork like this is one of the most valuable things you can do for a space.

There’s something about September - that itch to reset, refresh and get my home back in order 🍂
This year, that reset started with Yamazaki. Home, simplified.! I styled this home with a few pieces that prove organization doesn’t have to mean sacrificing style:
• An over-the-sink rack - simple, well-built and quietly does its job
• An in-closet shoe rack small enough to fit just about anywhere
• A clock, I just love
• A tissue box cover with a wood top - no branding, just a clean little detail that blends right into the room
• Two bathroom storage pieces that make the most of small spaces
September is my time to look at every room and ask: does this work as hard as it looks good? These five pieces do!

Would you dream of a walk-in closet like this?✨
Good storage and good design aren't separate things - put them together and you get this. Built-in shelving, a centre island, crown moulding for that finished feel, and cabinetry in a creamy white. Everything has a place, and everything looks this good doing it.
