Shift Collab
Shift Collab is one of Canada’s leading therapy practices offering counselling and mental healthcare.
Founded in 2016 by Megan Rafuse and Jordan Axani, Shift Collab was born out of a desire to modernize the therapy experience by making it more human. This meant making therapy feel simple, actionable, and collaborative while being matched with a therapist who is relatable and truly understands you. In making this experience come to life, we knew we needed to offer more beyond our roster of skilled social works and psychotherapists. As we pivoted, we came to realize that the therapy experience we offer became elevated by the warm greetings and laughter in the waiting room; the fact that we didn’t skimp on cheap coffee and tea; the friendships that would come from our community workshops; and the idea that a place where we explore our deepest wounds could also be a place of joy. We have since evolved, but our appreciation for the foundation we’ve built and beliefs we uphold remain the same. Shift Collab has since become one of Canada's leading group therapy practices, offering exceptional care coast-to-coast by providing individual, couples, family, and youth therapy. We help Canadians build the lives they want — one session at a time. Join our community to stay up date on new events, workshops, services, announcements, and more!

A little gut check. 👀
It’s officially fall, which means most of us are starting to slow things down. 🍂
But is your cozy era what you need… or are you using it as an excuse to pull away?

We NEVER do this 👀
This week only, refer a friend to Shift and you BOTH get $100 in session credit when they complete their first session.
Normally, your friend gets $100 off and you get $20. But for this week only, we’re making it $100 for both of you. 💙
And don’t worry, privacy comes first so you won’t know who used your referral link or whether they completed the therapist matching questionnaire.
So refer your friends, family, twice removed cousin, co-worker, whoever you’d like. Comment REFER and we’ll send you all the details.

If you graduated university this year, welcome to the strangest fall of your life.
For years, school gave you a rhythm. Semesters, exams, reading weeks, a clear sense of what stage you were at and what was coming next.
Post grad, that rhythm is just...gone. Without it, you shift from “what’s due this week” to “who am I now, and how do I build a life that doesn’t come with a syllabus?”
We’re happy to tell you, you’re not behind. The rest of your life takes more than just a semester to figure it out.
Stick around Shift Collab for tips on navigating this next journey.
10 years of Shift Collab wouldn’t be possible without the people who have trusted us, supported us, referred us, and shared our work along the way. 💙
Now, we’re asking for a little favour. 👀
We’ve been nominated for the 2026 Readers’ Choice Award for Best Marriage, Family & Individual Counselling!
If Shift has been a part of your therapy journey, has helped you feel a little more seen or understood, we’d love your vote. Comment VOTE and we’ll DM you the link. Voting is open til Sept 25th.

The warm weather is meant to bring our spark back, right? So why did this summer feel different? 👀
Well, for a start, the world kinda feels like a dumpster fire atm. On top of that, summer brings less routine, more plans, a messed up sleep schedule, travel, spending, and this weird pressure to make the most of every sunny day.
So yeah… maybe you’re not feeling particularly ✨refreshed✨.
If you’ve been feeling a little disconnected from yourself lately, this might be a good place to start.
Save for whenever you need it, and stick around Shift Collab for more 💙

A year ago, we opened a therapy clinic built specifically around ADHD.
The biggest lesson wasn’t clinical, it was watching what happened the moment clients realized ADHD wasn’t a footnote in their care. It was the starting point.
Know someone still looking for care that actually fits how their brain works? Send them this. 🧠🤍
Some questions are better left to the documentary crew. In the meantime, know that every client gets our full attention, no favourites here (allegedly) 👀
Can we pull you aside for a chat? 👀
With the Love Island finale tonight, we had to ask one of our therapists:
What’s actually going through your head while you watch?
Any red flags you noticed this season? Let’s talk about it 🌴

Giveaways, breathwork, good books, therapy conversations, and a whole lot of people showing up for themselves and each other.
Mental health month isn’t just a calendar thing for us. It’s a reminder that this community is real and that you don’t have to wait until you’re “ready” to be part of it.
Mental Health Month may be over but that doesn’t mean we stop showing up.
Comment BOOST to join our newsletter if you want to be the first to know when we do this again (we will) 💙

Mother’s Day is quietly one of the hardest days of the year for so many people, not because they don’t want to celebrate, but because they’re also carrying something no one else in the room can see.
ㅤ
The ache of wanting this. The exhaustion of still trying. The strange grief of celebrating something that also breaks your heart a little.
ㅤ
asked some of the therapists at to write a permission slip for exactly that feeling. For anyone on a fertility journey who needs someone to just say you don’t have to hold it together today.
ㅤ
Take what you need. 💙
