Over the last few years I’ve helped bring campaigns, events, artists, communities and ideas to life. And somewhere in the middle of it all, I remembered what I love most: community building through creating spaces.

Spaces for conversation.
Spaces for creativity.
Spaces for healing.
Spaces for connection.

This year, that looks like:

Black men deserve spaces where they can speak freely, be seen fully, and connect honestly.

I’m creating an intimate, guided roundtable for Black men across generations to come together and speak honestly — about identity, love, pressure, growth, and everything in between.

Not to perform.

This week has been more than I could have ever asked for.

Ringing in 30 on Monday and being continuously surprised with love by friends and family has reminded me just how blessed I am.

In true Sentimental Shantay fashion; I have to say, this past year was one of the hardest I’ve experienced. It was difficult to step into an age I’ve been waiting for since I was 13, without someone so special here to celebrate it with me. But I’ve learned that the love I miss returns in tenfold through the community around me and that alone makes me feel incredibly lucky, held, and surrounded by radiance.

30 will bring joy, ease, comfort, excitement, and new vision & I’m so ready for this ride. Here’s to 30! 🥂✨
