Airport situation

Toronto Pearson Airport (YYZ) uses a massive, coordinated effort with specialized vehicles (plows, sweepers, blowers, de-icing trucks) and hundreds of staff working around the clock to clear snow from millions of square meters of runways, taxiways, and aprons, focusing on keeping main surfaces clear for safe takeoff and landing, often clearing tonnes of snow during major storms to maintain operations.
