ANIMATIST

SHAPESHIFTER was not an easy album to make.

It was produced in multiple spaces over multiple years with what would likely be considered an unnecessary amount of revisions, overdubs, and remixes.

We recorded at wychwoodsound with the guidance of Alex Fuchs as our engineer
We recorded saxophone overdubs at the beautiful Annette Studios
Many overdubs were done at our rehearsal home base lost.tonic run by Selci
Other overdubs took place in bedrooms and basements
Finally Patrick Perez helped finalize the mixes and masters to bring the project home
Everything was cohesively represented by the artwork of AJ

It probably took too long to finish, and took more out of us than it should have. But if it’s the last thing we release it’s certainly the album we’re most proud of.

Thanks to everyone that helped.

July 16th at Handlebar we’ve got a three band bill where we’ll be slippin’ and slidin’ with a few friends. They slip, we slide… you… glide???

Erin Corbett is gonna rock her s**t
Alex Gage's Flagship is gonna guide us there
and ANIMATIST (that’s right we’re tagging ourselves) is gonna play a set we think is really nice and fun
