Check out this 1952 Gibson J-45.

All guitars have a story, but this one is written on the inside! The original owner left a small sticky label noting where and when he bought it, with a second label beneath it that reads, “Upon his death, his daughter shall inherit the guitar.”
He was a country and western singer in early-‘50s Toronto. Warm and fuzzy stuff aside, this acoustic sounds incredible and plays perfectly. It’s crack-free, has no repairs, and is completely original.

Good vibes today!

Here it is! Check out this 1976 Gibson Limited Edition Explorer.
Drum roll, please...
Yes, this is the early large-neck version!

Only produced in limited numbers between January and June of ’76, these early Explorers with the late-’50s-style large neck measure 0.93” at the first fret and 1.06” at the 12th. The story goes that when dealers received them in 1976, they felt the neck was just too large; players were used to the slimmer ’60s profile. The second production batch, from July through the end of the year, returned to a thinner ’60s profile.

This is a wonderful example. At some point a different set of tuners was installed, and it now has a great-looking set of vintage-correct strip tuners, with one small hole poking through from the previous set. All the remaining hardware is original to the guitar.

Both ‘Tar Back’ pickups are original, with the bridge reading 8.1k and the neck reading 7.4k. The guitar shows natural player’s wear on the neck and body. The neck is glorious! It has the full ’50s carve and plays perfectly with the original frets. The guitar is structurally solid, with no breaks or repairs.

Check out this cool Fender AVRI Stratocaster hybrid for : a ‘57 AVRI body with a ‘62 AVRI neck, both from the late ‘90s.

The Mary Kay finished body keeps all of its ‘57 parts, including the staggered pole pieces on the pickups. Our guess is the previous owner preferred the feel of a rosewood fingerboard over the ‘57’s maple. The ‘62 neck fits the body perfectly, and the guitar feels great. The body shows checking and natural play wear, while the neck has no wear on the frets or the back.

It even weighs the part, coming in at 7lbs 3oz!

This Les Paul has been taken to the next level! Check out this 2000s Gibson LP Traditional that’s had a wonderful restoration by C.F. Restorations in North Manchester, Indiana.

The work includes a complete refinish in light nitro with light aging and checking, and all hardware has been updated to be ‘50s-correct. The refinish includes a 1958 serial number with a stinger! The neck has a slightly chunky ‘50s carve, and the guitar plays great. The pickups are Sheptons and have a real dynamic PAF tone, with readings of 7.52k in the neck and 8k in the bridge.

This one is dialed in!!

Check out this 2000s Fender G.E. Smith Artist Telecaster.

Mr. Smith’s ‘50s-influenced Telecaster is pretty amazing. It features a ‘50s-style U neck carve based on his 1952/53 Telecaster, with a nice chunky feel. The neck inlays are based on ‘40s and ‘50s lap steels, and the body-mounted bridge pickup is believed to deliver more resonance and punch. I love all the flat-head screws! This one is in amazing shape, with no player’s wear.

G.E. Smith knows his Teles!

Check out this Marc Rutters Jazzmaster build.

Marc Rutters is a US builder who is known for recreating vintage guitars and hardware that are truly convincing. This guitar is made up of a Rutters body and neck, with an amazing-sounding set of Pickup Wizard Jazzmaster pickups, a Staytrem bridge, and a vintage Fender trem.
It also has an authentic Spitfire pickguard and a set of vintage Jazzmaster k***s. The neck carve has a very soft V that fits perfectly in your hand. Great weight on this one too.

We would equate this guitar to a Fender Custom Shop style build.

Must have been a good day in Montana!
Check out this wonderful Gibson J-200 that rolled out of the Bozeman, Montana Gibson plant in 1990.

Everything about this guitar is right: This King sounds fantastic!
It’s not just a boomer; it has a subtlety in the bottom end, with clarity and definition, and equal volume and tone in the high end. The neck feels great and is very easy to play.
Other than a very small crack at the back of the pickguard, the guitar is solid, and the blonde finish shows checking with no real wear to speak of.
This is definitely one of the better J-200s we’ve had at the shop.

Check out this 1974 Fender Telecaster Custom.

The guitar features a natural solid ash body with a great-feeling maple neck and a recent refret. The bridge pickup has been replaced with a flat-pole Broadcaster-style pickup that sounds fantastic (less spiky than the original would have been); the rest of the guitar remains original. The Wide Range neck pickup has nice depth while still maintaining plenty of clarity. The guitar shows minor natural player wear with checking.

This is a good one!

Our most popular amp model!
Check out this 2022 Fender ‘65 Princeton Reverb reissue.

This one is in near new shape and sounds fantastic. Putting out 12 watts through a 10-inch Jensen, it delivers classic, sparkling clean tones, and when pushed, has a punchy, mid-focused warm overdrive. The reverb and tremolo sound heavenly too.

Great amp!
