It’s been brought to my attn by some of my fav humans that these visuals are sick, but also wtf. So wanted to give you the tea on why it could not look any other way, for us 🏰

CASTLES 🏰 is the final track we released as part of MULTISTATE: a world we created to live out a spiritual psychosis (a real one, triggered by isolation, obsessive spirals and 🍄). All the music videos we posted were in backrooms/underground/pictured //the void// because real life wasn’t an option. The thoughts we were exploring happen isolated, alone, and in the dark (for me anyway).

But CASTLES steps out into the world- or at least an impression of the world (?) every scene has something off. Like we’ve been painted into a frame where we don’t quote belong. A fever dream with a desire to belong, but as soon as we feel comfortable, we’re already onto the next thing (read: and I’m already gone… yeah yeah). It’s all happening at twilight, the truest depiction of dreams (for me) and we’re somehow always alone (ish) even though we’re in public places. Dystopian and fkn weird. Because that’s how it feels- to want to belong, to want something more and and make castles out of the city skyline in your mind. Delusions of grandeur. Lucky for us, that’s just the beginning 🤑🤑
