Needless to say, I am constrained by my trashure palette, but therein lies the creative challenge as I play, explore, and experiment. I have so much fun dreaming up how to use these things.

I hope that my work might inspire visitors to consider how to reuse materials in their own homes before chucking them out." - Helena Wehrstein

🖼 "Cityscape 1" and "Cityscape 2" by the award-winning artist, animator and filmmaker Patrick Jenkins. As part of our current exhibition, Gang of Five!

For the exhibition, Patrick will be showing original drawings on paper from his first graphic novel, Tales from Phantom City (2023), accompanied by two plywood cut-out pieces from the early 1990’s.

The Gang of 5 art collective features multidisciplinary artists united in their shared language of cartoons, whimsy and gritty storytelling: Patrick Jenkins, Al Runt, Randal Gordy Lee, Vince Vaitiekunas and Michael Zaharuk.

Michael Zaharuk is an Artist, illustrator, and Editorial Cartoonist. His work has appeared in publications such as: The Chicago Tribune, The Toronto Star, The Washington Post, and The Wall Street Journal. Michael’s work is inspired by a range of artists, from German expressionists like George Grosz to American artists such as Phillip Guston and Edward Gorey.
