Dan Galea

24 Years this month. I've never celebrated a comedy anniversary before, and you'd think that naturally I would wait for the 25th year but no, this is my 24th year of doing comedy, producing shows, and saying yes to my dream and yes to "being happy". It's been a long and winding road, full of fun, disappointment, successes, failures, accomplishments, goals met, goals missed and constant growth. I've met and worked with so many amazing people who have inspired me beyond belief. It's also my 9 year anniversary of teaching comedy. Something that has enriched my life more than I ever thought it would. The students literally changed my life for the better and I feel like I've met so many amazing unique talented people. Comedy Bar's support and the community being built there is very special, and I feel lucky to be a part of it.

My family & friends who continue to stick with me deserve a thank you for both supplying me with endless comedy and also dealing with the ups and downs related to choosing a path like this. I've been happy, depressed and happy again, and that emotional rollercoaster didn't just effect me.

Lastly thanks to all the comics who have done my shows, sharpened their teeth, learned in my classes, booked my on their shows, helped with advice and punching things up and generally just being a pretty great community to be a part of.

When you're always learning the goal post is always moving but that still means your moving forward, its just hard to catch up with that pesky goal post. Ironically when the goal post stops moving you probably have stopped getting better and learning.
Anyway if you've never been to one of my shows, you're all invited, I try to encourage a community of kindness and inclusivity. I want to create places where you can stop thinking about your problems and laugh. All my shows are listed here and every show has a different vibe.

Special thanks to Dan Tahmizian for the video.
