Prime Day is October 6 and 7, and your sale should start this week 🛒
In June, spending on brands' own websites was up from last year in the days before Prime Day, then dropped once it started. Here are the 5 moves we're making with our ecommerce clients right now:
1. Put your offer live on your own site this week. The average shopper took 11 days from first click to purchase.
2. Bundle before you discount. People add more to the cart and you keep more of your margin.
3. Email your list early, when the sale goes live, and before it ends.
4. Build your retargeting audience now for October 6 and 7.
5. On Amazon, check your titles, photos and reviews before October 6.

Some Google Ads campaigns are moving to AI Max this month. 👀
If a campaign uses automatically created assets or the campaign-level broad match setting, Google will move it over by the end of September. So September's numbers will mix the old settings and the new ones.

While AI solved marketing's production problem, it quietly created a decision problem.
Our CEO Robert Burko's latest piece for the Forbes Agency Council makes the case that the bottleneck has moved: teams can now generate endless polished options, and that abundance is exactly what slows them down. Everything looks defensible, so nothing gets decided.
His argument in one line: 'AI creates the abundance, but the decision framework creates the value.'
At Elite we have felt this shift firsthand, and it changed how we run approvals, not just how we produce. The agencies that win the next few years will be the ones that can decide fast (not just make fast).
