Have you ever seen a pitcher throw from an arm angle like THIS? 👀⚾

Toronto Blue Jays reliever Tyler Rogers has one of the most unusual deliveries in Major League Baseball, dropping his arm almost completely underneath the ball with his signature submarine pitching motion.

What makes it even crazier is the movement. Rogers’ pitches can look completely different from what hitters are used to seeing, with his low release point creating a strange rising effect and making his sinker and slider extremely difficult to track.

He doesn’t overpower hitters with 100 MPH heat either. Rogers relies on deception, movement and one of the strangest arm angles in baseball to get outs.

That unique style has made him an important part of the Blue Jays bullpen as Toronto continues to battle for a spot in the American League Wild Card race.

Imagine trying to step into the box after seeing normal overhand pitchers all week… and then this comes at you. 😅

Could you hit Tyler Rogers’ submarine delivery?

⚾️ James Wood steps in at Nationals Park — and when this guy is at the plate, you pay attention. 👀🔥

Here’s a close-up look at Washington Nationals slugger James Wood taking a swing against the Toronto Blue Jays at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C.

At 6-foot-6, Wood has quickly become one of the most exciting young power hitters in Major League Baseball. The combination of size, raw power, athleticism and speed makes him a unique player to watch — and there’s always the feeling that one swing could completely change the game.

Wood entered professional baseball as a second-round pick of the San Diego Padres in the 2021 MLB Draft before becoming one of the centrepieces of the blockbuster trade that sent Juan Soto to San Diego. He eventually made his MLB debut with Washington in 2024 and hasn't taken long to show why he was considered one of baseball's elite prospects.

His power really started turning heads at the Major League level, and in 2025 Wood blasted 31 home runs while adding 38 doubles, 87 runs and 153 hits. Now in 2026, he continues to develop into a cornerstone of the Washington Nationals lineup and one of the young players baseball fans should be keeping an eye on.

Washington has also shown it can put plenty of runs on the scoreboard, making hitters like Wood even more interesting to watch as this young Nationals lineup continues to develop.

And what better place to see it than Nationals Park? 🏟️

Located along the Anacostia River in Washington, D.C., Nationals Park gives baseball fans a great backdrop for MLB action in the heart of the nation's capital. On this day, it was the Toronto Blue Jays visiting Washington, giving us a chance to capture James Wood up close at the plate.

You can really appreciate his size and swing when you're watching from this angle. That is a LOT of power waiting to be unleashed. 💥⚾️

How good do you think James Wood can become?

Future superstar? One of MLB's premier power hitters? Or are you waiting to see a little more?

300 career strikeouts — and Louis Varland got there with absolute HEAT. 🔥⚾

The Toronto Blue Jays closer recorded the 300th strikeout of his MLB career against Seattle Mariners hitter Taylor Ward, blowing a 100.4 mph fastball past him in the ninth inning.
That pitch was a perfect snapshot of the season Varland has put together.

After being shifted into the Blue Jays closer role in 2026, Varland has taken full advantage of the opportunity, using his triple-digit velocity and swing-and-miss stuff to become one of Toronto’s most important late-inning arms.

His journey has been pretty impressive too. Varland began his MLB career with the Minnesota Twins, spent time working as a starter, transitioned into relief and was eventually acquired by Toronto at the 2025 trade deadline. Now he’s closing games for the Blue Jays, earning saves and reaching major career milestones.

Strikeout No. 300 also came in a huge moment, as Varland helped finish off another Blue Jays victory while Toronto continues its late-season push toward the postseason.

100.4 MPH for No. 300. Not a bad way to reach the milestone. 💨
How impressed have you been with Louis Varland since he took over as Toronto’s closer?

Take a close look at Kazuma Okamoto’s swing 👀⚾

The Toronto Blue Jays Japanese rookie loads up and takes a big rip at this pitch, giving fans a great look at the mechanics and bat speed that made him one of Japan’s top power hitters before coming to Major League Baseball.

Okamoto’s first MLB season has had its ups and downs, but the power has translated and he has already made a major impact in the Blue Jays lineup. Toronto will need more of that production as they try to stay in the American League Wild Card race and make a late push toward the postseason.

Even on a foul ball, you can see how quickly Okamoto gets through the zone and how much power he generates with his swing.

What stands out most to you about Kazuma Okamoto’s swing?

Was that Vladimir Guerrero Jr. — or a sprinter? 👀⚾

Vladdy showed some serious hustle on this play, putting his head down and racing to first base to beat out a single for the Toronto Blue Jays.

Guerrero hasn’t had the same kind of offensive season Blue Jays fans have become used to seeing from him in past years, and there have been times when his hustle has been questioned. On this play, though, the effort was definitely there.

With Toronto trying to keep pace in the American League Wild Card race, every hit, every run and every extra bit of effort can make a difference down the stretch.

Is this the fastest you’ve seen Vladimir Guerrero Jr. get to first base this season?
