Great minds don't think alike - Du choc des idées jaillit la lumière

EdCan Network conducts research and spreads useful ideas through its publications, website, workshops, symposia, and social media channels, and supports education systems to be more adaptive to the rapidly changing needs of all learners in an effort to reverse the trend of students ‘tuning out’ of their learning opportunities.

What We Miss When We Don’t Name Poverty in Schools | EdCan Network 09/29/2026

When we fail to name poverty, we risk misunderstanding student behaviour, overlooking systemic barriers, and placing responsibility on individual students for challenges that extend far beyond the classroom.

Great ideas don't emerge in isolation. They grow through conversation, collaboration, and connection.

At the EdCan Network, we bring together education professionals from across Canada to explore the issues shaping the future of education, from student and staff well-being to artificial intelligence, inclusion, school attendance, and system leadership.

As Canada’s only independent, pan-Canadian education network, EdCan creates space for researchers, educators, school leaders, system leaders, and policymakers to learn from one another and engage with leading thinkers from across the country.

Our members gain access to exclusive conversations, opportunities to share challenges and promising practices with colleagues nationwide, and a trusted network focused on turning evidence into action.

This fall's events feature discussions on:
✅ School system well-being and implementation science
✅ School absenteeism
✅ AI literacy
✅ And more

If you're looking to connect with colleagues beyond provincial boundaries and help shape the future of education in Canada, we'd love to have you join us.
