Art & Design Shop + Gallery We are a decorative arts boutique specializing in Mid Century Modern.
We offer our clients a well edited collection of unique furniture, art, lighting, modernist glass, jewellery and objects from the early 1960’s through to the mid 80’s. Colour, condition and functionality within a small space are key with all designs presented. All items have been restored in our workshop to their former glory. Original pieces by notable 20th century designers include Pierre Paulin, Verner Panton, Charles and Ray Eames, Ingo Maurer, Guzzini, Kartell, George Nelson, Achille and Pier Castiglioni, Victor Vasarely & Conran Associates UK. We also house an extensive reference library on 20th Century Design for research purposes, client education and general information. We are located in the heart of the Art+Design District in downtown Toronto.

Abstract Sculpture entitled SPRING by Maryon Kantaroff (Canadian 1933-2019)
Foundry cast bronze with beautiful applied Verdigris patination.
Signed on base ‘Kantaroff’ ‘78’
Edition 6/8.
Dated 1978.
Complete with original gallery paper label.
Foundry stamp inside base.

Steel tubular frame with foam and Sand colour Naugahyde upholstery. White wooden base with nylon glides.

Large BLOCK vase attributed to Flavio Poli (Italian 1900-1984) for Seguso Vetri d’Arte, Murano, Italy.
Hand blown with vibrant contrasting green/blue, & amber Sommerso technique.
Circa late 1950 - early 1960’s
9 3/4” high, 2 3/4” square.
Excellent condition.

Abstract Sculpture entitled CENSUS FIVE by K.S Oliver (Canadian)
Inspired by the wing of an airplane this sculpture cleverly conveys movement and fluidity within the language of minimal modernism.
Solid machined Aluminium constructed in two interlocking parts mounted to base with applied black acrylic detail.
Engraved on base K.S Oliver.
Dated 1975.
Unique work.
16 1/2” high, 3 1/4” wide. Base 4 3/4” long, 2 1/2” wide.
