Wouldn’t this quilt make an interesting block to tile into a full quilt? It’s the newest addition to the Funsies panel!

Having fun with the new Scrappy Quilt feature! I chose:

You can copy/cut and paste from one PreQuilt project to another. It kinda feels like magic eh?

This is helpful if you want to bring a block outside to experiment without impacting your original project.

This is similar to saving to stash and then import, but the copy paste is quick and dirty method.

Precuts are now available in the Fabric Calculator! Another improvement we've recently addis is the auto saving to your Fabric Calculator — this means when you change anything on the fabric calculator it will save so you don't have to set it again.

You have a bunch of precuts and plenty of quilt ideas—but will you have enough fabric?

Use PreQuilt’s new Scrappy feature to design your quilt and find out whether it will work with the fabric you already have.

Just follow these five simple steps. ✨

1️⃣ Create just one block to use as your template.

2️⃣ Select the shapes and connect them to a fabric pull to set up the randomization. For each fabric, specify the precut type and how many you have.

3️⃣ Choose how many block variations you want. PreQuilt randomly generates each one using the fabric pulls you set up.

4️⃣ Add the blocks to your quilt. Let PreQuilt randomly fill the entire grid or place each block manually for more control.

5️⃣ Once your design is complete, PreQuilt compares what the quilt requires with the fabric quantities you entered—so you’ll know whether you have enough before you start cutting.

Scrappy quilting, without all the scrappy work. 🧵

We've grown over the past 8+ years. As fun as it was, we've evolved out of our scrappy phase* and this refreshed design better reflects who we are today: playful, yet professional, and made for your creative exploration.

The PreQuilt dashboard is calmer, giving your quilts and fabrics the attention they deserve. As your content grows, organization matters. Use our new filter feature to see only the fabric you've imported or browse through the preloaded fabric collections. You can also sort by date, name, tags, and more.

There’s so much to explore, so head over to PreQuilt and try it for yourself!

*It was sad and a little hard to replace our sheep icon for the clone feature with a standard copy icon. Growing up can be a little boring, but necessary.

If you like big prints, then you’ll looove PreQuilt’s Fussy Cut and Blank Design Grid! 💜

Fussy cutting just got easier with our new drag-to-position feature. Make that big print the hero of your quilt by turning it into a panel, then use the Blank Design Grid to build your design outward—without fussing around with traditional grids.

Laura and I are no lyricists, so this is the best we could come up with. 😂

Just doodling in preparation for tonight’s YouTube Live at 7 p.m ET. I’m really loving this hexagon grid and the fabrics by carolynfriedlander for ★ RUBY STAR SOCIETY ★ ✨

These mockups use fabrics from the Memento collection: Alphabet in Prussian, Crosshatch in Black, and Alphabet in Florida.

It’s amazing how simply swapping the Fabric Links can produce such different results! PreQuilt can reveal unexpected patterns and keep those creative juices flowing.

Which version is your favorite? Do you ever use “Shuffle Existing Fabric Links”?
