The Bread Essentials

Way-hey!!!
Well, this is exciting!

We seem to have succeeded in making pita bread! These 6" (give or take, but they are 80 grams) pocket-y winners are made with millet flour. They are vegan.
And we are excited!!

Bear with us as we figure out the logistics and get the ball rolling on making them (it's a bit of a process til we - well, I - get used to it)

Greetings TBE family!

So, we had a slight flub happen with our olive bread (pictured) and some of our rosemary. It's simply that they could have used another 5 minutes or so of oven-time. So, Josée is putting them on sale for $9.99. All you have to do is toast the slices as you need them and that will perk them right up (they can also be cubed and made into fabulous croutons... which we may do with some tomorrow) I can also recommend using the slices in a brushetta (oh yeah, baby!!) Or as a base for a pizza-style gourmet, fancy-shmancy appetizer/snack.

Treated myself to a box of the Fresh is Best tri flavours taco shells we currently have on sale in our wee shop. If you're someone who isn't fond of spicy flavours, fret not! The mild chili is VERY mild and the jalapeño is not very spicy at all. So, do like me, and treat yourself this week! I still have filling left over so I may break up a couple of the shells and makes nachos for the next round....

Ola, amigos!

Just in time for Taco Thursday (we missed Taco Tuesday, but I mean, EVERY day should include tacos... or nachos, am I right? Of course I am)
we have Fresh is Best tri-flavour hard taco shells on sale for a mere $4.99! That's 4 each of jalapeño, mild chili, and yellow taco shells for dinner (or lunch... or breakfast... or late-night snack...)(duuuuude, breakfast tacos!!! What a way to start the day! Grab a couple of boxes to cover ALL of the meals! We also have their yellow corn only shells for the regular price of a mere $5.99 - really quite reasonable in the gluten free world. AND we have their chicken tinga seasoning packets - which work really well with beef, pork, turkey, or chicken mince. But you do you, boo.

we also have a couple of salsas for you:
For those souls who can not have garlic and onion (that truly breaks my heart... I'm so sorry 😟) the fine folks at Fody Food Co. have you covered with their Mild Sensitive Salsa.
The other choice is Lakeside medium Salsa.

You know what also works, for anyone a little more adventurous Sandy L Nickel Chili Sauce... it's not *that* kind of a chili sauce, but, yeah, it works well with some added Mexican-style seasonings thrown in. Trust me, I've experimented and was quite pleased with the results!

Josée has asked me to ask you all to bring us your thawed out ice packs that are cluttering up your life. We use them to pack in our delivery boxes.
You can bring them in during business hours, or,,you can nip 'round the side and leave them in a bag or box ON TOP of the bins in the little alleyway between us and the church.

We are looking for customer service help again, as we lost our summer gals to school (that's what happens when people want to edumacate themselves... gee whiz)

Now, as well as what the photo says, we also need someone Tuesday-Friday 9:30-6:30
DEFINITELY HOLIDAYS - It's all hands on deck for holidays (for example Christmas - we close early on Xmas eve, but we're ALL here through December) So... always expect to work holidays.

Please, we need you to be reliable. We're a very small business, with a micro selection of employees. We don't automatically have 4 or 10 other people to cover you if you happen to be sick often.

Your number 1 priority is taking care of our clients, but on down time you'll be stocking shelves, accepting deliveries, answering the phone andtaking orders over the phone, cleaning/tidying, helping with some baking (we'll show you how, but if you have baking knowledge that's a great bonus - if you have cake decorating skills let Josee know!)
