Join DSA for an exclusive tour of Blok Design , an award-winning Toronto-based design studio known for its work across branding, editorial, packaging, digital experiences and more! Get a chance to step inside their studio, see their creative process and learn more about what it’s like working in the design industry.

Interested in having your work showcased for all of York to see?

This year, DSA will have a Design Market to showcase design students and is inviting three students to table their work as prints. Students will get 70%-80% of all of their total profits from all of their prints sold.

The deadline to submit is this Friday at 11:59 pm!

Secretary
The duties of the Secretary include, but are not limited to:

Organizing and recording minutes during DSA meetings

Live documentation for meetings

Updating documents within a week of any held meeting for both the internal DSA team and the general public

Writing and sending internal communications to DSA members regarding events, forms, initiatives, and other applicable matters

Organizing the DSA’s email inbox and ensuring they are received by the appropriate executive member, if applicable

Maintaining and updating the DSA’s shared calendar;
Maintaining the DSA’s digital drive including

Ensure all meeting archives are up-to-date, specifically at the end of each academic term.

Maintaining the DSA Discord server and moderating comments.

Branding Coordinator
The duties of the Branding Coordinator include, but are not limited to:

Work with DSA's current branding to design promotional material for different platforms (i.e Instagram, LinkedIn) and other relevant collateral

Branding extensions including but not limited to: DESNathon, Holisleigh, Spootober

Collaborating with the Event Coordinators, Marketing Assistants, Print & Promotions Assistant, Fundraising and Sponsorship Coordinator and Marketing Director to promote events and partnerships

Design official DSA Merch for the year 2026-2027
The Branding Coordinator (1 position) is open to senior years, 3rd- and 4th-years. Interview-based.

Marketing Assistants
The duties of the Marketing Assistants include, but are not limited to:

Documenting DSA events through videography and photography.

Collaborating with the Marketing Director & Branding Coordinator to create content for the various DSA social media accounts (i.e. Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn). This can include:

Improve your communication, leadership, and mentorship skills by supporting junior-year students with their transition into university.

Every year, the DSA matches mentors with mentees, and we’d love for you to be a part of it!
