Communauto Toronto

Answering a commonly asked question this week! Can you drop off a car in a different location from where you picked it up? It depends on the service you choose to use.

A FLEX car can be returned anywhere in the service zone, so you don't need to return it where you picked it up. A round-trip car always returns to the station you picked it up from.

Let us know if there's other questions you'd like us to answer.

🚗📈 Prices going up because everyone suddenly needs a car? Not here.

Communauto doesn’t use surge pricing. That means the price of your trip isn’t automatically increased just because it’s a busy time of day, a sunny Saturday, or everyone’s heading to the beach. ☀️

Whether you’re booking for a busy weekend or grabbing a FLEX on your way home, you pay Communauto’s regular rates.

Our cars get a lot of love during the summer. ☀️🚗

With more road trips, errands, beach days and weekend adventures, a little clean-up goes a long way.

Swipe through for a few easy tips to help keep your Communauto clean for the next member—including a few pet-friendly cleanup ideas and what to do if the car could use a little extra TLC.

Every small gesture helps, whether it's taking your garbage with you, wiping up a spill, or brushing off a bit of pet hair.

Thanks for helping keep our shared cars clean and ready for the next adventure. 💙

Ever wondered what all the icons on the map mean? 👀

We get it, we offer a lot of different services. The Communauto app has a built-in icon legend that explains exactly what you're seeing, making it even easier to find the right car for your trip.

📍 Here's how to find it:
1. Open the Explore screen in the app.
2. Tap the round icon in the bottom left corner of the screen, just above the Explore icon.
3. Tap Display setting to switch your preferences.

💬 What's something you've said in a Communauto that should be on this list? 👇

We've introduced a new FLEX Pass! FLEX Unlimited gives you unlimited 30 minute trips in a one month period.

You can purchase the pass through the Communauto app and use it in Toronto, Hamilton and Ottawa-Gatineau. Specific rates apply.

Conditions:
The FLEX pass is valid for one month from its effective date.
Your eligible trips only become billable starting on the 31st minute.
Consecutive use of vehicles: to enjoy the 30 free minutes of use, you must allow a period of 45 minutes after the end of a trip before blocking or using a vehicle again.
Unless you have chosen one of the other Damage Protection Plan options, the cost per trip with the default option to limit your liability to $1000 in the event of an accident, whether at fault or not, applies.
