We have completed our work with Mexican Corn Products in finding them a Part-Time Controller for their plant in the Ottawa area. Mexican Corn Products is a rapidly growing Ottawa-based food manufacturer and market leader in authentic tortilla chips, built on a family recipe inspired by generations of Mexican culinary tradition.

The key to building a great team is a great interview process. That’s why it’s so important to hone your interviewing skills.

Three simple guidelines include:
- ask open ended questions that get the candidate talking
- resist the temptation to spend the whole time talking yourself; your goal should be to come out of the meeting with a yes, no, or maybe decision on this candidate
- help the candidate get beyond their nerves by not letting them ramble, so move in with another question when the candidate has moved past their main points.
