Revellers mourns the loss of The Mighty Sparrow, a voice that shaped generations and forever change the sound of Caribbean music.
Through his music, humour and fearless storytelling, he gave voice to Caribbean life and carried calypso around the world. His songs brought people together, made us think, made us laugh and gave us so much to celebrate.
We send our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and everyone whose life was touched by his music.
Thank you, Sparrow, for the extraordinary legacy you leave behind. Rest in peace. 🕊️❤️
Gravity was only a suggestion. Some things aren’t meant to stay grounded. 🪐
