đź’š World Mental Health Dayđź’š
Today, we’re reminded that mental health deserves the same care, compassion, and attention as our physical health.
Therapy offers a space to slow down, explore your emotions, understand your patterns, and navigate life’s challenges with support. You don’t have to wait until you’re struggling to prioritize your mental well-being. Sometimes, taking care of yourself starts with simply giving yourself permission to be heard. 🌿
This World Mental Health Day, let’s continue to break the stigma surrounding mental health and encourage more open, compassionate conversations.
🌱 What is one thing you do to support your mental well-being?
đź’ What does feeling emotionally supported look like to you?
🤍 What is one thing you wish more people understood about mental health?
Your thoughts and experiences matter. Let’s create a space where everyone feels comfortable sharing. 💚
New Blog Post Alert!
When we’re struggling, it’s easy to turn inward and ask, “What’s wrong with me?” or “What do I need to change about myself?”. But sometimes, the people, relationships, workplaces, and environments around us can have a bigger impact on our mental health than we realize.
This blog explores what happens when we stop focusing only on how to cope and start asking.
Mer, the author of this post, is a psychotherapist at Therapy Uninterrupted. Her approach to therapy is grounded in collaboration and respect for your individual experience. Mer works with adults and adolescents navigating concerns such as anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, self-esteem, identity exploration, relationships, life and career transitions, and separation or breakups.

Anger doesn’t always look like yelling or losing control.
Sometimes it shows up as sarcasm, shutting down, frustration, resentment, overwhelm, or even anger that’s covering something deeper, like fear, hurt, or sadness.
Learning to recognize how anger shows up for you can be an important first step toward understanding what’s underneath it and choosing how you want to respond. Anger itself is a normal human emotion. It’s what we do with it that matters.
Instead of asking, “Why am I so angry?” try getting curious: “What is my anger trying to tell me?”
đź’ How does anger usually show up for you?
🔎 What emotions might be underneath your anger?
🌱 What helps you respond to anger in a healthier, more intentional way?

Therapy Uninterrupted New Therapist Alert!
We're so excited to share that we will have a new student therapist joining our team in September!
Joyce is a Masters of Social Work (MSW) student who is completing her final practicum to become a Registered Social Worker (RSW). She is being actively supervised by our Clinic Director, Haley (MSW,RSW) and will begin taking on new clients starting in mid-September. You can book in to join Joyce's waitlist now to make sure you get in as soon as possible!
Joyce offers supports to adults and adolescents for both individuals and couples in English and Tagalog. She supports people who are struggling to navigate their self-identity in relation to their culture, immigration, life transitions. She also helps clients navigate anxiety, stress, and self-esteem and negative self-talk.
If you are someone who struggles with overthinking, harsh self-criticism, or feeling like you aren’t where you “should” be, Joyce may be a good fit for you. If you often put endless pressure on yourself only to end up feeling anxious and/or overwhelmed or force through stress, this can be a really hard place to be. Navigating these patterns without support can leave you feeling disconnected from yourself. Healing shouldn’t mean “fixing” who you are. Joyce believes that healing through therapy means to collaboratively creating a non-judgmental space to embrace one’s self-acceptance and move forward at your own pace.
If this resonates and you think you'd like to work with Joyce, you can book in for a free video consultation. ADHD is not a lack of attention.
Sometimes it is too much attention, just not always where you want it to go.
It can look like rereading the same email five times but remembering one random detail from three years ago.
It can look like putting off a five minute task for days, then completing an entire project in one intense burst.
It can look like caring deeply, trying hard, and still struggling with things other people seem to do automatically.
ADHD Awareness Month is a reminder that what looks like inconsistency from the outside may actually be a nervous system working very hard to regulate attention, motivation, emotion, and energy.
Understanding ADHD means looking beyond productivity and asking a better question:
What is this person experiencing beneath the surface?
🧠What is something about ADHD you wish more people understood?
🔎 What is one ADHD trait that is often misunderstood?
đź’ˇ What has helped you work with your brain instead of against it?

Feeling lost, uncertain, or disconnected from yourself doesn’t necessarily mean something is wrong with you.
Sometimes, these feelings can reflect a deeper struggle with self-concept clarity—understanding who you are, what matters to you, and what feels authentic.
Explore why major life changes, expectations, burnout, and emotional experiences can leave you questioning yourself, and how therapy can provide space to reconnect with your values, identity, and sense of direction.
Jorge is a Registered Psychotherapist on the Therapy Uninterrupted team and the author of this post!
