Design Truth 8: Creativity needs freedom.
In production design, it can be tempting to only spend time and money on exactly what you know the camera is going to see. But some of the best designs have come from pushing beyond. Designing the hallway, filling the shelves, dressing the corner nobody thinks will make it into the shot, are just the beginning of building out an entire world instead of just a single frame.
That’s why creativity needs freedom.
