Tisha B'Av, the 9th of Av, begins this evening, Wednesday, July 22. This national day of mourning commemorates the destruction of both the 1st and 2nd Temples in Jerusalem in 586 BCE and 70 CE. Like Yom Kippur, it is a full fast day.

Please join Rav Jen & Cantor Steve at Adath Israel tonight at 8:30 pm, for Mincha/Ma'ariv and the Book of Eicha. The fast begins at 8:33 pm, and ends at 9:32 pm on Thursday, July 23.

As the week comes to a close, may Shabbat bring you a chance to pause, rest, and reconnect with family, friends, community, and yourself.
