Organized by Studio M, a Green P lot is turned into a community space to celebrate culture, artisan crafts and clothes, enjoy music and eat delicious Caribbean food! I’m proud to support this beautiful event.

Jamaal Myers is a very hardworking, thoughtful and dedicated City Councillor. He’s loves Scarborough and I’m very proud to support him.

I joined Jamaal in Scarborough North again today to talk with residents about their community, their city, and their priorities.

I joined Pastor Jenni King Feheley for the most beautiful conversation this morning with Emmanuel Ogebe and Father Stephen Ojapah. I learned so much. It was impactful.

We discussed their extraordinary work for girls’ education, their own experiences of being abducted in Nigeria by the Boko Haram, and their advocacy to free those still being held captive. Their faith, positivity and joy, despite the horrors they’ve witnessed, is truly inspiring.

Midtown, we have a Community Sukkah. On Yonge, half a block north of Davisville, thanks to our friends at the Chabad on the East Side.

It’s actually the tenants themselves, led by the Dawes Road Tenants Association, who deserve credit. They simply wouldn’t accept anything less than active support from City Hall- even if it took years to achieve.

They’ve been relentless, courageous and effective.

Together, as a community, we achieved a beautiful and modern expansion to Hodgson Middle School. It was my pleasure to attend the official opening and ribbon-cutting, along with my colleague, Councillor Rachel Chernos Lin, Trustee Shelley Laskin, and my daughter, Molly Matlow.

Thank you to the students at Upper Canada College for inviting me to join you for an open conversation about our community, and our entire city.
