๐ฌ๐จโโ๏ธ We are proud to share that Dr. Ari Baratz was invited as expert faculty to present at the FOCUS (Fertility DialOgue Centred Upon ReSearch) program, sponsored by EMD Serono
The FOCUS program brings together experts to discuss emerging fertility research and its clinical implications, helping translate evidence into clinical practice.
Selected as a national clinical leader, Ari Y. Baratz led the discussion on Non-Conventional Methods in Ovarian Stimulation: Exploring DuoStim, Random-Start, and Luteal Phase Start Approaches.
Reflecting on the experience, Dr. Baratz shared:
"Thank-you EMD for the ongoing support of evidence-based discussions on Infertility research, study methods, results and helping the REI fellows draw conclusions that can be applied in the real-world setting. It was a pleasure to engage & mentor this cohort of future reproductive medicine specialists with the aid of a high-quality program like FOCUS and the EMD Serono team."
Congratulations, Dr. Baratz, for your continued dedication to advancing reproductive medicine through education, mentorship, and evidence-based care! ๐

From insightful discussions to meaningful collaborations, ESHRE 2026 ESHRE was an incredible opportunity to learn, share, and help shape the future of reproductive medicine. We're proud to see our team contributing to the conversations driving fertility care forward.
This year, our team also presented research on topics helping advance reproductive genetics and embryo care:
๐ฌ Mitko Madjunkov presented research exploring the outcomes of transferring embryos with whole-chromosome versus segmental aneuploidies, helping inform clinical decision-making. "Ten years of multicenter registry data on embryo transfers with uniform whole-chromosome and segmental aneuploidies."
๐ฌ Rina Abramov shared research on the clinical implications of re-biopsying embryos with segmental abnormalities detected through PGT-A and when repeat testing may be beneficial. "To re-biopsy or not? Diagnostic and clinical implications of segmental abnormalities detected by PGT-A."
๐ฌ Sheila Yat Sze Kwok presented research investigating how mosaic embryos may naturally eliminate abnormal cells, providing new insights into embryo development. "Determinants of mosaic embryo developmental capacity: aneuploid clearance kinetics and HIF1A-modulated depletion."
๐๐ We're excited to bring these insights back to our patients and continue advancing fertility care.

On July 5, Dr. Ari Baratz travelled to London, England, to represent Canada as invited faculty at the annual EMD Serono Fertility DUELS event.
This year's debates explored two timely topics in reproductive medicine:
๐งฌ Oocyte quality vs. quantity
๐ค The role of AI vs. humans in embryo assessment
More than 60 delegates attended, including CReATe's Dr. Clifford Librach, Dr. Mitko Madjunkov, Dr. Svetlana Madjunkova, Dr. Prati Sharma, and Dr. Justin Tan, joining leading experts for an afternoon of insightful discussion and knowledge sharing. They were part of the spirited debate and expert exchanges of Dr. Baratz & his co-faculty.
Reflecting on the experience, Dr. Baratz shared:
"I felt honoured to represent CReATe and Canada at this year's DUELS event. A special thank you to the entire EMD Serono team for their ongoing support of our staff and for advancing fertility-based education and knowledge translation activities year after year."
We're proud to see our physicians contributing to conversations that continue to shape the future of reproductive medicine.

National Indigenous Peoples Day encourages us to celebrate the histories, cultures, contributions, and resilience of First Nations, Inuit, and Mรฉtis Peoples. It also provides an opportunity to reflect on the progress being made across Canada's healthcare system.
Across Ontario, healthcare organizations are working alongside Indigenous leaders and communities to advance culturally safe care through Indigenous-led initiatives, stronger partnerships, expanded cultural safety training, and greater recognition of Indigenous knowledge and healing practices.
These changes are helping to create healthcare environments where patients feel respected, heard, and supported.
At CReATe Fertility Centre, we believe those principles are essential to every family-building journey. Fertility care should be compassionate, inclusive, and responsive to the diverse experiences, cultures, and needs of the individuals and families we serve.
As National Indigenous History Month continues, we recognize the importance of ongoing learning, meaningful action, and a healthcare system that works toward greater equity for all.
Your family is worth celebrating, before it even begins.
If you're thinking about it, researching it, or just starting to ask "how do we do this?", we'd love to be part of your journey.
Happy Pride Month. ๐ณ๏ธโ๐

โฝ๏ธ FIFA World Cup 2026 Travel Advisory
With Toronto preparing to host FIFA World Cup 2026 matches and fan events, areas around Liberty Village, Fort York, and Exhibition Place will experience significant traffic changes, road closures, and local access restrictions on match days.
Even if you donโt live in the area, you may be affected if you commute through the west end.
Hereโs what to keep in mind when planning your visits to our clinic:
๐ง Expect road closures and restricted vehicle access near Exhibition Place and surrounding neighbourhoods on match days
๐ Transit will be the most reliable option, with increased demand across TTC and GO lines
โฑ๏ธ Travel times may be longer than usual, especially during peak hours and game windows
๐ Driving and rideshare access in the area may be limited or rerouted during closures
Weโre sharing this to help our patients plan ahead and avoid unnecessary stress or delays during their appointments.
If youโre travelling from the west end, we recommend:
โ๏ธ Allowing extra time
โ๏ธ Checking transit schedules in advance
โ๏ธ Considering earlier departures on match days
Weโre here to support you through every step of your fertility journey, including making your visits as smooth as possible during this exciting (and busy) time in the city.
