Once a month, we host special workshops. Students from different classes come together to learn with a new teacher and explore a new topic for the day. Topics are announced ahead of time, and students choose the one they like through their student portal. It's a great way to meet classmates from other classes and try something new.

Our RCIIS students went on a walking tour of Downtown Toronto! πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈπŸ™οΈ

The tour took our students to some of the city's best spots. First was Sankofa Square, a busy area full of shops and city energy. Next was City Hall, famous for its modern and unique design. The last stop was St. Lawrence Market, a historic market with delicious food and local goods.

It was a quick and fun way to learn about Toronto's history and culture. A great activity for our new students to explore their new home city!

12 weeks in Toronto. Here is what changed. πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅

Kaisei came to us from Japan and joined our Power Speaking High-Intermediate class. Presentations, debates, and a lot of real conversation, every single day.

In this video he shares what surprised him about Toronto, what his classes were like, and how his English changed in three months.

Learning by doing. That is how it works here. 🍁

Our RCIIS students explored the Distillery District this week!

This historic area is one of Toronto's favourite spots. It has old brick buildings, cobblestone streets, and beautiful art everywhere. Long ago, it was a real wh**ky distillery. Now it is full of cafes, shops, and galleries.

Our students walked through the streets, took photos, and enjoyed a fun afternoon together. It was a perfect day to explore Toronto and make new friends!

Learning English is more fun when you explore the city. πŸ™οΈ

Field trip rule #1: the weather does not decide the vibe. 🌧️ High Park with our students β€” soaked, smiling, still learning.

Our students traded desks for Toronto's Graffiti Alley. Practising real English while soaking up some of the city's boldest street art. Learning just hits different when the whole city is your classroom. πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦

Last week, our students swapped the classroom for the galleries of the Aga Khan Museum, exploring centuries of Islamic art, culture, and history right here in Toronto.

Experiences like these are at the heart of an RCIIS education, because the best way to learn a language is to live it. 🌍

Where should we explore next? πŸ‘€
