WHERE IS SAM MUGUMYA?

Sam Mugumya is a gifted multilingual teacher, activist, and valued member of his community. He is known for moving effortlessly between Runyakitara, Luganda, Swahili, Lingala, and other languages. When Sam speaks, people listen.

His reported disappearance has left his family, friends, and supporters waiting for answers.

The Ugandan authorities must immediately disclose his whereabouts, guarantee his safety, and allow access to his family, lawyers, and medical care. If he is being lawfully detained, he must be brought before a competent civilian court without delay. Otherwise, he must be returned home.

Behind every disappearance is a family living in fear and a community deprived of someone they love.

It is Sam’s right to be home. Bring Sam home.
