EMAILED SUBMISSIONS ARE OPEN FOR THE KID/TEEN ROLE OF BANKS

Looking for “real kids” in the community with natural acting abilities and the confidence to try out for a major role in a TV Pilot for the upcoming series, AMERICAN MUSCLE, a SAG-AFTRA project due to shoot in Jackson, Mississippi.
Dates: October 1-10, 2026
Rate: $449/day + 10% agency fee. Needed several days on set.

Storyline: American Muscle is a high-octane family drama set on the forgotten dirt tracks that started NASCAR. After his father’s passing, HAYES TURNER shoulders his family’s struggling garage while fighting to create his own legacy – one stock car race at a time. Like the Turner family, this sport and culture is vying for existence. The pilot is partnered with the Jackson Motor Speedway to film during live races. And the series will film during the World of Outlaws “Hell Tour” at tracks all over the country next spring/summer.

[BANKS] Male, can play 12 to 15, White. Would love 18 to play younger, but 100% open to a minor. Brash, brazen, smartass, and everything else a boy raised on the dirt tracks of Texas ought to be. After recently losing his father, Banks isn’t sure how to cope with the loss. If he let himself slow down for a moment, he might admit he’s a little adrift–but like his older brother, that isn’t something he’s willing to do. Banks is Hayes in miniature: tough, loyal, protective, ambitious, and not afraid to make enemies if that’s what it takes. He has a soft spot for his mother, but he’s at an age now where he’s not as comfortable showing it… SERIES REGULAR

Morgan Casting is excited to be on board AMERICAN MUSCLE a SAG-AFTRA Pilot due to shoot in Jackson, Mississippi
Dates: October 1-10, 2026

[SHEP] Male, early to late 20s, Hispanic/Open ethnicity. Shep makes everything around him work–the cars, the crew, Hayes’s schemes, Banks’ joy. He’s the crew’s emotional safety valve, and the others’ way in when Hayes is too guarded to let anyone see. But he does this often at the cost of his own self-interest. Despite being the shop’s hardest worker and Hayes’s best friend, he’s gone months without being on payroll due to the garage’s financial struggles. He carries a long-held crush on Johnny, the Turner sister, but won’t admit it because admitting it would mean rocking the boat with Hayes. Shep’s place in the Turner crew isn’t shaky, but his baggage makes him believe it might be... SERIES REGULAR

[MANDY] Female, mid to late 30s, open ethnicity. Having inherited the Grayson County Speedway from her parents, and their parents before her, Mandy works hard to keep the track up and running. Willing to go toe-to-toe with the boys, but also not afraid to dress up on Sunday. She’s long carried a torch for Hayes, though that attention goes unrequited. While she isn’t afraid of a little confrontation on the track, she’s more on the coy/meek side everywhere else–especially when it comes to Hayes... SUPPORTING

[LENNY] Male, 20s to 50s, open ethnicity. Lenny is the driver the Turner gang crew for in the early heats. The guy doesn’t follow instructions, but it’s deeper than that. Lenny views the world as hierarchical, and Hayes–despite being more knowledgeable–falls beneath Lenny on that hierarchy, so Hayes better keep his mouth shut. He’s not incompetent, just undisciplined and loud-mouthed. The actor needs good physical comedic timing and has to be able to play the specific dignity of someone who genuinely believes he is better than he is. Role requires on-screen driving... RECURRING

Casting Update: THE LINE (Mississippi project)

Thanks for the great submissions and support so far!
We have gone through all the agency suggestions, Actors Access suggestions + emailed ones as well and (currently) have reached out to everyone who we feel is truly a great fit for a speaking role.

Of note, if you suggested for the role of SUSAN, she no longer has lines (as per the new script) so no auditions for self-tapes went out for her part. Thanks for your understanding as this is often the nature of the business.

This is a FINAL AND LAST CALL for anyone else who would like to try out for a speaking role for this project. The writing is great and the production team is top notch. Wonderful people!
