Frances Lago Design

It took me a few days but I want to give a huge shout out to . I spent two days immersed in workshops, and shared countless inspiring conversations with makers, reps, and fellow designers. Thank you to my dear friends at for sharing in the experience and to my darling for always being my cheerleader. See you next year.

January invites us to slow down, and to rest a little longer. This time of year I'm always drawn to spaces that feel calm, grounding, and restorative.

This bedroom was designed for our clients as a quiet retreat. Through layered textures, softened light, and a sense of ease, this space encourages true rest at the end of the day.

This lovely fireplace makes winter so much easier to manage. Wishing you all a warm and cozy weekend!

These cold winter days have me dreaming of this gorgeous fireplace at Project Wellington Road. The warmth of the granite, the depth of the black walnut, and the soft gleam of custom brass accents create the perfect place to settle in and unwind. Rainy day lighting installation. So thankful for our detailed and oh-so-patient electricians. It's no easy task hanging twenty three bulbs at four heights with no two lining up next to each other all while having it look perfectly random yet beautifully balanced.

Shout out to .inc for the custom fixture and for helping make it happen.

Some quartzite eye candy from a sourcing trip last week. Walking down endless rows of natural stone slabs was the highlight of our day. I can't wait to see some of these beauties in our clients new penthouse.

The studio has been fantastically busy this year and so many exciting projects are taking shape. I am not great at capturing site visits or the selection of beautiful finishes at client presentations but I'm loving the work we're doing and I'm so proud of my team. Here's a little snap of yours truly walking through one of the penthouse condos being designed by our team at the Elora Mill. These spaces are going to be over the top.
