Youth homelessness doesn’t begin with homelessness. It often starts with circumstances beyond a young person’s control.
Through Home of the Unbreakable, we’re sharing powerful stories that explore the realities behind youth homelessness and celebrate the resilience, strength, and potential of the young people who overcome them.

Access to employment can be life-changing for young people working to overcome homelessness. It provides not only income, but also the skills, confidence, and opportunities needed to build an independent future.
Recently, we welcomed the Purolator team to Covenant House Toronto for on-site interviews, connecting young people with valuable professional experience that can open many other doors.
Thank you, Purolator for your generosity and commitment to investing in the future of our community. đź’™

🎓 Every achievement tells a story of hope and hard work.
Our team recently celebrated the incredible achievements of the young people in Rights of Passage, our on-site transitional housing program.
Whether it's completing a course, earning a certification, finding a job, obtaining a driver's licence, or achieving a personal goal, every milestone represents resilience, growth, and a step toward an independent future.
🌟 Congratulations to all the young people we honoured. We can’t wait to see where your journey takes you next.

The recently released Home of the Unbreakable commercial uses the visual metaphor of an intensifying storm. It illustrates how conflict, instability, and stress at home can build over time, affecting a young person's safety, well-being, education, relationships, and sense of belonging.
The story offers a different perspective on youth homelessness, reminding us that it often stems from circumstances beyond a young person's control and timely support can make all the difference.

In the final episode of our Transitional Housing series, we asked members of our Housing team what success can look like for young people as they move toward stability and independence.
🎥 Watch to hear their reflections on the milestones and growth that make these journeys so meaningful.
A storm of circumstance shouldn't cost an entire future.
No young person chooses the streets.
It starts with a family safety net that snaps under pressure. A sudden job loss, a historic housing crisis, a mental health system bursting at the seams.
At Covenant House, we don’t just provide a roof to stop the rain. We offer the unconditional support that helps young people move from weathering a crisis to reclaiming their futures.

When Stephen and Jennifer Corbett were married in 2004, they chose to celebrate with a gift to Covenant House, inviting their guests to join them in supporting young people.
What began as a wedding day gift grew into so much more, as they continued to stand alongside our community’s next generation year after year and believing in all they could achieve.
Today, the family's support continues in honour of Stephen's life and his decades of service and impact.
