Custom Kobudo

This is Derek Alexander, who will represent Team Canada at the 2026 WKC World Karate Championships in Cadiz, Spain, this October. I am very proud to report that Derek has chosen custom made weapons from Custom Kobudo to take with him to the Worlds this fall. Good luck to Derek and Team Canada!

Exciting news! We are announcing the availability of an excellent tinbe. It is made in Canada by a senior martial artist who was a student of the late Kyoshi Don Shapland. Kyoshi Shapland was famous for his outstanding and unique turtleshell tinbes, often decorated with beautiful artwork or calligraphy. Now they are available again, thanks to Sensei Mark Johnston. Here is the link: https://customkobudo.ca/home/ols/products/tinbe
We will soon announce the availabilty of a high quality matching rochin. Any questions - just drop us a note by email. Note these tinbe are created in fiberglass from molds. Sea turtles are endangered and fully protected by law.

We just shipped our first 2 pairs of the new Pro Grade Stainless Steel Tekko. They are on their way to senior practitioners in Ontario and Quebec. You can see them at Customkobudo.ca

I am happy to announce that we are once again shipping to the US. It has taken a while to figure out how to handle orders from south of the border, because since the US tariffs were announced, Canadian vendors have been required to prepay tariffs before Canada Post would accept items for shipment to the US. Then we had to figure out a solution that our website platform (GoDaddy) could handle. That solution is now in place. It is not perfectly precise, but it approximates the calculation of the applicable tariffs. Now American customers can take advantage of the strong US currency to buy oustanding Canadian kobudo products!

NEW PRODUCTS! We are very excited to announce 3 additions to our product line...
Pro Grade Stainless Steel Sai - available in 18" and 20" lengths, these perfectly balanced lightweight sai offer familiar Okinawan quality, at half the cost (after currency conversion and shipping). And they are available now!
Pro Grade Stainless Steel Tekko - also available in 2 sizes.
Belt Display Rack - a perfect gift for an up and coming young martial artist.
