An Australian/Canadian Toronto based indie-alternative duo. Hey Guys! We are FXRRVST (pronounced ‘forest’), an indie alternative duo based in Toronto.
Our names are Holly Forrest and Matthew Fuentes. We met in August of 2015 and have been playing music together ever since. We strive to be a charitable and environmentally conscious band, doing all we can to give back. All our merchandise (including our CDs) are eco-friendly and part of the cost goes to different local and international charities. Since day one, we’ve understood that if we ever became a successful band, it was because of others. So its only fair that we share our success with everyone and help those who really need it. Hope you like our music and thanks for the support. Since we started we have:
- Opened for British artist BANNER and New York artist Tor Miller at The Mod Club Theatre
-Opened for Wild Rivers at Adelaide Hall
-Headlined and sold out Junction City Music Hall
- Written, produced and recorded they're debut acoustic EP 'Humber'.
- Played at Soundtrack of the City Festival in Toronto.
- Toured in Indonesia.
- Currently recording they debut album in Orange Lounge Studios

Thinking of changing our band name to MIA 🥲
Turns out deciding to get your wisdom teeth ripped on a whim isn’t the greatest idea, especially when you’re already an emotional mess and you have to cold turkey quit coffee, ni****ne, ✨herbs✨, and your happy pills for a minute. Shoutout to wife, bluey, and chocolate pudding for getting me through this week 😅
And less than 2 weeks until bandtogether.32 🤯🤯🤯 have you gotten your tickets and camping gear ready?!?? So insanely stoaked for this festival with SO MANY FRIENDS!!!! 🫶🫶🫶
Thank you to everyone who reached out about Panda ❤️ for a little more context she got super sick, super quick. Diagnosis was HGE (essentially super bloody diarrhea and vomiting, a lot of the time with no known cause 🥲). Was in the ICU for a week and it got quite scary a couple times. And of course right when she got home she got a UTI and an infection and abscess on her foot 🥲🥲🥲 at this point the UTI is gone and foot is almost healed!
Gonna be making some Panda stickers a merch at some point to help cover the bill 😅 this is your reminder to get pet insurance if you don’t already have it!!!

Unless you live in a bubble (which seems like MANY ONLINE do), you’ll see the world is on fire. If you’re in Toronto you’re with us in experiencing the worst air quality ON THE PLANET right now. And who’s feeling it most? The indigenous communities who are left in the dust (or flames rather), not the billionaires creating data centres left right and centre to fill their bottomless pockets a little more. We’re past the 1.5 degrees. It’s not going to get better, but if we the people wake up A TOUCH, the right people can be held accountable and MAYBE we can slow down this hell hole they have created. Power to the people. LAND BACK ✊
