Another successful Cram-A-Cruiser Food Drive!

Yesterday, 33 Division partnered with Galati Market Fresh to collect much-needed food donations in support of Community Share Food Bank.

Every donation brings us one step closer to our goal of helping address food insecurity in our community and ensuring that local families and individuals in need have access to essential food items.

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by and donated, as well as the 33 Division Community Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) members and our Neighbourhood Community Officers who helped make today’s event possible.

Thank you to Galati Market Fresh for hosting us and supporting our community!
Together, we can make a difference.

FACEBOOK MARKETPLACE SCAM ALERT
Buying or selling on Facebook Marketplace? Think twice before accepting a cheque.
Scammers may send a fraudulent cheque and then ask you to return money, pay a delivery fee, or release the item right away.
Important: Even if the cheque appears to have been deposited and the funds show in your account, the payment may still be on hold or subject to verification. A fraudulent cheque can be returned later, leaving you responsible for the money.
Protect yourself:
✔️ Never send money back to a buyer based on a cheque.
✔️ Never accept more money than the agreed purchase price.
✔️ Don’t release the item until payment has been properly verified.
✔️ Be cautious of buyers who pressure you to act quickly.
✔️ If the deal seems too good to be true — walk away.
Remember: A deposit does not always mean the cheque has cleared.
Stay alert. Stay informed. Stay safe.
