Protect Yourself from Frauds and Scams
Pause. Verify. Protect.
Before you send money or share personal information:
Pause-scammers create urgency. Take a moment before you act.
Verify-Contact the bank, company, government, or family member directly using a trusted phone number or website.
Protect-Never share passwords, banking information, or one-time verification codes.
Remember if someone pressures you to act immediately, keep it secret, or pay using gift cards, cryptocurrency, or wire transfers, it is likely a scam.
If you think you have been targeted by a scam, contact your financial institution immediately and report it to your local police service.
