If your vehicle is damaged in an accident, take these photos when it is safe:

1. The full damaged area
2. Close-ups of the damage
3. All four corners of the vehicle
4. Your VIN and odometer
5. The dashboard and interior
6. The roof or sunroof
7. The scene and vehicles involved

Photos are not required for every ICBC claim, but they may help produce a more accurate estimate and reduce delays.

Safety comes first. Do not take photos in active traffic or return to the scene after leaving.
