If you play an instrument, why not join Rock band?! We meet Tuesdays after school and are planning a couple of rock shows this year. Drums, Guitar, Keyboards, vocals, all are welcome. Sign up on the door to 213. Talk to Mrs. Kendrick or Mr. Bick if you have any questions.

The UCHS chapter of SADD meets Wednesdays at lunch. We welcome new members! Next week is our first meeting of the year. SADD promotes healthy and safe decision making, including always having a safe and dependable ride.

Student Council meets every Tuesday at lunch. We are busy planning a welcome week and pep rally for September. Student Council welcomes new members grades 8-12.

There will be a Pop Culture Club Meeting today at noon in the Home Ec Room (202). New members are always welcome! If you like movies, board games, comic books, and anything else pop culture come check it out!

Back to school, first announcements of the year!
Wednesday, September 2, Day 1

All girls in grade 8 and 9 interested in playing volleyball, please meet in Miss Gartner’s room at the beginning of lunch today. First tryout is today at 3:30 in the senior gym.

All grade 8 & 9 boys interested in playing volleyball, please sign up on Mr. Feser’s door today. Your first practice is tomorrow, Thursday, at 5:15pm.

Any existing Student Council members as well as any students in grades 8 to 12 interested in joining Student Council, please attend our meeting at noon today. We are looking to plan a welcome week and pep rally for September and select leaders to attend our conference later this month.

The second day of senior girls volleyball tryouts will be tonight from 7:00-9:00 in the senior gym. Teams will be posted tomorrow morning.

Cross country practice is tomorrow afterschool. Please change and meet by the east entrance (across from the library). See Mrs. Clark today for more information OR if you cannot attend tomorrow’s practice. Our first meet is next week in Biggar.

A reminder about our grade 7 "Unpack Your Backpack" evening on Monday. We will meet in the senior gym @ 5:30 for a brief informational presentation followed by a chance to set up your locker and meet your teachers. We look forward to meeting you!
