🇵🇭 The PH Kitchen 📍2916 Carling Ave, Ottawa, ON A Filipino community hub hiding in an Ottawa strip mall? We had to check it out. What started six years ago as a grocery store has grown into a restaurant, grocery store and barbershop, all built around serving the community. We met co-owner Harvey, who told us how listening to customers shaped the business — more food, more space and more of a taste of home. We tried tortang talong, fish with bagoong, pork stir-fry, giniling, pork satay and halo-halo. About half a dozen dishes plus dessert came to roughly $80. The food is comforting, fresh and affordable, but it’s the sense of community that really makes The PH Kitchen special.
