Ghana Rural Integrated Development (GRID)

We are delighted to celebrate the official launch of Family Rooms: Inside Family Medicine, co-authored by Dr. Jennifer Wilson, GRID Board Director and Ghana Health Partners Lead, and Dr. Carlye Jensen, a long-time and valued member of the Ghana Health Partners family.

This is a particularly special milestone for our GRID & Ghana Health Partners community, as the book reflects not only the everyday world of family medicine, but also the relationships, experiences, and lessons that grow through years of partnership and service.

Family Rooms offers a heartfelt glimpse into family medicine through stories of patients, families, relationships, challenges, humour, and the privilege of caring for people through different seasons of life.

And, of course, Ghana makes an appearance!

Through nearly two decades of working alongside Ghanaian colleagues, the authors reflect on how these experiences have shaped their understanding of medicine, teaching, partnership, relationships, and community.

For GRID and Ghana Health Partners, this book is a beautiful reminder that partnership is about more than projects—it is about people, relationships, shared learning, and the stories we carry with us.

We were pleased to welcome Green for Change Ghana to NEA’s Carpenter ground for a meaningful learning and partnership visit.

It was a wonderful opportunity to share how diverse livelihood initiatives—from fish and poultry production to rabbits, mushrooms, and nature-based activities—are helping communities build incomes, strengthen resilience, and protect natural resources.

We’re grateful for partners who share our commitment to sustainable livelihoods and community development. We look forward to strengthening this partnership and creating greater impact together!

🌱 Planting Hope in Northern Ghana

This planting season, renewed hope is growing across farming communities.

With new agricultural equipment—including a tractor, planter, slasher, and sprayer— farmers are able to prepare their fields more efficiently and plant on time.

✨ 70 acres prepared
🌾 50 farmers supported, including 35 women

With timely rainfall and a safe, productive field season, we’re hopeful for a healthy and abundant harvest.

Together, we’re planting more than crops—we’re planting hope, stronger livelihoods, and a more resilient future!

One of the beautiful highlights of the conference was celebrating God’s faithfulness in raising up leaders within His Church.

Several pastors were commissioned into new leadership roles—including Overseeing Pastors, Bishops, and Apostles—in recognition of their faithful service and dedication to God’s people.

These new roles are not simply titles; they are a call to greater responsibility, spiritual leadership, mentorship, and service across multiple congregations. We celebrate these leaders and pray that God will continue to give them wisdom, strength, humility, and grace as they faithfully shepherd His people.

We rejoice in what God is doing through His Church and in the generations of leaders He is raising up to carry His work forward.

Congratulations to all those commissioned! May you continue to lead with faith, serve with humility, and walk boldly in the calling God has entrusted to you.

Strengthening Leaders to Strengthen the Church

More than 150 pastors, elders, and their spouses gathered for this year’s Pastors, Elders, and Spouses Conference—a meaningful time of biblical teaching, leadership development, fellowship, and encouragement.

As leaders are strengthened in God’s Word and equipped to serve, they are better prepared to strengthen their churches, families, and communities.

We are grateful for every pastor, elder, and spouse who continues to faithfully serve and lead. May God renew their strength, deepen their wisdom, and empower them for the work He has entrusted to them.

A Week That Left a Lasting Impact ❤

If the school children in Carpenter could describe the Pacific Academy Team, they would probably say one thing: their time here was far too short.

Each morning was filled with learning and encouragement as teachers modelled engaging classroom strategies and students offered support alongside local staff. Special moments like Sports Day and Cultural Day brought joy, laughter, and unforgettable memories for everyone involved.

Afternoons were spent serving across various areas of NEA’s work—collecting eggs, feeding fish, and investing in young people through church youth programs.

While the Pacific Academy Team made a meaningful difference in the lives of those they served, we know this experience has also left a deep and lasting impact on each member of the team.

Thank you for serving with such dedication, humility, and love. Your time in Carpenter may have been brief, but the relationships built and seeds planted will continue to bear fruit for years to come.

When healthcare workers are equipped, entire communities benefit.

In early March, a team of 11 surgical, paediatric, and radiology partners joined Leyaata Hospital staff for hands-on training and mentorship, strengthening local capacity and improving patient care.

✨ 55 surgeries completed
✨ NICU training that reduced newborn referrals
✨ The hospital cared for its first baby born at 31 weeks gestation
✨ Radiology and medical staff gained skills to perform procedures that previously required surgery

This is the power of partnership—investing in people, building local expertise, and creating lasting impact that continues long after the team has returned home.
