Langara College
Langara College offers University, Career, and Continuing Studies to more than 21,000 students annually.
Located in beautiful Vancouver, BC, Canada, Langara College started in 1965 as part of Vancouver City College and in 1970, it opened its West 49th Avenue campus. On April 1, 1994, Langara College was established as an independent public college under the Provincial College and Institute Act. The College is also known as house of teachings, a name given to us by the Musqueam First Nation, on whose unceded traditional territory we are located. Today, Langara is one of BC's leading undergraduate institutions providing University Studies, Career Studies, and Continuing Studies programs and courses to more than 21,000 students annually.

Yesterday the Langara community celebrated the opening of our Registered Massage Therapy (RMT) program and new student clinic on campus. The celebration included a ribbon-cutting ceremony, tours of the new facilities, and a career fair dedicated to our RMT students.
This purpose-built clinic gives students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience treating clients under the supervision of experienced faculty, while providing affordable massage therapy services to the community.
Thank you to the staff and faculty who worked hard to bring this project to life and create a space that supports both student learning and our community.

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (NDTR) invites us to reflect on the legacy of residential schools and take action toward reconciliation. As NDTR draws near, Langara College encourages our community to pause and consider what it means to live, work, and learn on the unceded ancestral lands of the Musqueam people.
Our relationship with Musqueam is never-ending. That responsibility includes how we show up in learning spaces and how we create safety for students and community members. Learn more: https://bit.ly/4huPbTA.

Langara College’s Co-op and Career Development Centre (CCDC) is now the Centre for Career and Work Integrated Learning (CCWIL).
This renaming makes the department's purpose easier to see: co-op is one piece and the new name reflects the broader pathway of work-integrated learning (WIL) that helps students build career readiness earlier.
