Earlier this week, International Literacy Day reminded us that reading is more than a classroom skill. It opens doors to learning, work, health information, and full participation in community life.

Supporting basic education and literacy is one of Rotary's areas of focus because knowledge creates possibilities that last.

What book, teacher, or learning moment changed your direction?

Today we recognize the people whose work keeps our community moving.

From educators and health-care workers to tradespeople, entrepreneurs, service teams, nonprofit staff, and volunteers, every contribution matters.

Happy Labour Day from Kal Rotary. Who deserves a thank-you in your working world?
