This is the official page of CUPE Local 2011.
We acknowledge that the District of Saanich lies within the territories of the lək̓ʷəŋən peoples represented by the Songhees and Esquimalt Nations and the W̱SÁNEĆ peoples represented by the Tsartlip, Pauquachin, Tsawout, Tseycum and Malahat Nations, and the acts of colonization have made many equities for First Nation people who do speak this continue to have fibre and communities and cultures. We recognition is that we have a responsibility to work toward truth and reconciliation, and we remain open to suggestions from indigenous members, on how our organization can continue to work for towards reconciliation.

Disappointing news to say the least. We stand with our Brothers and Sisters at Local 374 in their effort to achieve a fair deal like everyone else in the region have received.

Thanks to Saanich Neighbourhood Place for the invite to their annual BBQ last night ! It was great to connect with so many community members and share a wonderful evening together.
