Our 19th year of designing for the recipients of the DEYA Awards and this year was a lot of fun. I was really thrilled to hear that Bobbi Racette founder of Virtual Guru exclaimed "This is Me" when she walked into the room. That is always our goal, to present something that speaks to that honoree. Here are just a couple pictures taken pre function. When the professional pics come through I will post more.

Great opportunity for fun with cereal bowl centerpieces for this event .The University of Victoria's Peter Gustavson School of Business DEYA Awards honored the Natures Path founders with a gala dinner and two receptions at the Victoria Conference Centre.

Added some colourful Christmas designs to the Vaccination site here in Victoria. With the start of the child vaccinations the timing was perfect.

Really enjoyed designing for an event honoring Anthony Von Mandl of Mission Hill Winery, creator of Mikes Hard lemonade and so much more. Might have consumed a couple glasses
of his wine during Covid! Thank you to Zingaro floral for their beautiful floral creations.

We are working on our Open a Door submission for the Habitat for Humanity fundraiser. We are making the most of a really great whirl-i-gig we bought years ago at an Ontario antique place. Another interesting project came my way and I jumped back in to my retail boots and roots. Snowden House gift shop need a re-fresh and working with lovely owner Laura we accomplished a lot by basically re-using, re-painting and re-positioning what was already there.

I recently took a Pandemic Protocol course from the Event Leadership Institute and definitely learned some things. The amount of work that goes in to putting on a safe in -person event is quite significant however I do have hope for smaller gatherings now that the vaccines are rolling out. Time will tell!!

File this under Covid distractions! I took an iconic image (Banksy) and reproduced it for a friends office at her request. I brought her into the process despite her protests about not being a "hands on" kinda gal. By the end she was so happy to have worked on it and it now hangs in her office for inspiration ,laughs and a reminder of how good it is to explore new things.

Very fun to get to get brought in by Decorate Victoria with Huff N Puff to do some windows at Hillside. Using their very colourful trees to bring our Grinch inspired props to life, made a happy upbeat Christmas scene!
