Learning Tree Preschool

Colwood Preschool has been in operation since September 2002 and is a part of Colwood Pentecostal Church. During that time, we have seen many wonderful and exciting things take place. Our program focuses on learning through play for children ages 3-5 years old. We will work together with you to provide a safe and secure early learning experience for your child. We attempt to provide a loving and caring environment with a program that meets and exceeds your child’s physical, social, intellectual, and emotional growth. Our educational goals and objectives are based on and believe that children learn through play, exploration and discovery. Each day, opportunities are given for large group, small group, and individual play; active and quiet activities; free play and structured activities; and indoor and gross motor play. Gross motor activities might include outdoor play (weather permitting) or gym play. We believe these experiences will provide opportunities for your child to grow and learn in a fun environment. We encourage each child to establish a positive self-concept; to become independent; responsible and creative; to respect others; and to enjoy the challenge of learning in all areas. Our program has a basic structure which allows individual children to make choices based on their own needs, developmental levels and interests and is a Christian based principles.
