Sarah is a nomadic tattoo artist who’s found so much magic in tattooing people all around the world.

She loves decorating the body with a vast array of subject matter, including ornamental work, celestial, abstract, organic, nature-inspired concepts.

She specializes in fine line black work and stippling, but loves playing with line weights and creative styles.

Sarah views this craft as a very high honor, and approaches each collaboration as a sacred practice.

Every piece is created with deep attention, intention, and gratitude.

Sunmi is a tattoo artist with six years of professional experience, working with clients around the world. She specializes in cover-ups, illustrative color work, and designs inspired by nature, anime, and abstract art.

Known for her versatility and attention to detail, Sunmi approaches each project as a collaborative process, ensuring every piece is thoughtfully tailored to the individual.

No matter the concept, she transforms each idea into a unique, personal work in her distinctive style.

We are excited to announce .kobrin._ as our second artist for our upcoming guest spots as we prepare to launch our brand new waterfront tattoo retreat and immersive art theatre, set in downtown Victoria, BC

Jake is a tattoo artist, painter, published author, and spiritual teacher working at the intersection of classical fine art, Western esotericism, and contemporary mysticism.

Trained at the Angel Academy of Art in Florence, his tattoo practice centers on blackwork, sigils, and talismanic design, approached as permanent ceremony in the tradition of cultures that held tattooing as sacred rite. His paintings have exhibited internationally, with a forthcoming solo show at the HR Giger Museum in 2026. He is the author of “The Path Within” (Crossed Crow Books) and teaches magick and consciousness work to students around the world.

Jake will be residing with us from
May 12th- 29th and is available for tattoo bookings and art commissions.

Danielle is a tattoo artist specializing in dark, illustrative fine line work. Her pieces blend softness with shadow, drawing from themes of femininity, nature, and intensity.

Inspired by contrast and renaissance art, her work often feels moody and immersive, with each design carefully composed to flow with the body. She focuses on creating tattoos that feel both delicate and haunting. Like something you’ve seen in a dream but can’t quite place.

Danielle will be with us 7-8-9th May.

For those of you who have been watching our stories lately- u may have already guessed this was coming.

We’re stoked to finally announce Cryptic Hives newest addition to the team and full time resident artist .alexander.widell

Lars Alexander Widell brings 15 years of tattooing and over 300 hours of ink in his own skin into every piece he creates.

Rooted in yoga, holistic health, and a global search for deeper meaning, his sessions can become a transformative experience… Art that connects your past, present, and future.

His unique and recognizable style fuses surrealism, illustration, and graffiti elements into bold color or striking black & grey.

Keep an eye out for his upcoming series, Victorian Botanical Noir… a moody, elegant collection inspired by his new home in Victoria, Canada.

Beyond tattooing, Lars is a lifelong creator; graffiti artist, stonemason, ballet dancer, musician, and even some schooling in fashion design.

Recently his 20+ years of volunteer festival work really paid off, he was blessed with the opportunity to play on the iconic Pagoda Stage at in 2024.

Then, returning this year with a bang for a sunrise B2B with his son Köl, they shared a momentous original, opening with live operatics.
In every way, he embodies the spirit of a modern Renaissance man.
Lars is now booking to start new projects in Victoria BC for 2026 and we are excited to have him joining our new growing team.
