Welcome to Our WorkPlace (formerly Next Steps to Employment). We are here to support people, who experience barriers in their lives, get back to work; barriers include but aren’t limited to addiction, mental health, homelessness, trauma, incarceration, disability etc. The process looks like this:

Referral: People can self-refer or be referred by any member of staff (internal referral form attached). Just call/email us 778-817-0354/[email protected] or [email protected] and send in the referral form and we will book an intake appointment. We take referrals from community agencies such as ACT, AVI, ISLAND HEALTH, SAL ARMY etc. Intake: We make an appointment to meet with clients 1:1, a support or outreach worker is welcome to come with a client who needs extra support. The intake is a chance for us to get to know the person and for them to get to know us. It is a conversation about what barriers they are experiencing, what kind of work or volunteering they are interested in and how we can best support them. From the intake we will either refer them on to one of the groups or support the person 1:1 if they are not ready or interested in a group experience.
