FUN Society is a registered Canadian charity that helps young people, engage with nature through innovative, hands-on and fun programs.
At Friends Uniting for Nature (FUN) Society, we believe kids truly can change the world. Our mission is to empower them with the skills, tools and support to make it happen. We help transform youth from all walks of life into agents of positive change with hands-on leadership training and environmental education programs. Most importantly, we make everything we do enjoyable – because it’s not sustainable if it isn’t fun! Our award-winning programs enable kids to discover the interconnectivity that unites their actions with this planet and everything on it. As we guide this exploration, we are helping them cultivate the knowledge, skills and confidence necessary to become passionate leaders. At an age when many kids can feel powerless and overwhelmed by the issues of the world, FUN Society provides a space for them to connect with others, themselves, the broader community and the natural world. The power of these connections shows them what they are able to accomplish when they have that perfect mix of passion, tools and teamwork. Our vision is to be a world leader in education that inspires people into action. We believe in a world where an informed and engaged society works together to tackle the social and environmental challenges we face. As daunting as it may sound, it is absolutely possible and already happening. We are contributing to this positive change revolution through our two major programs: FUN Champs and FUN Camps.

At the Victoria location next week, it's FUN World of Water! Kids will learn how to protect the water we love so much with tons of water-based activities including; kayaking, pond dipping, and paddle boarding!

Shelby is one of the camp leaders at the Victoria FUN Camp location this summer. Shelby is from Calgary and moved to Victoria to study Elementary Education at the University of Victoria. She loves to play with other people's dogs, see live music, walk to the beach, and grow new plants. She can’t wait for all the fun outdoor adventures that are yet to happen over the summer!

There are just a few spaces left in the awesome Serious Ocean FUN Camp at the Gorge-Tillicum location. Kids will explore all things ocean, from plankton to tidal waves, and get to try scuba diving! And, campers help to create better homes for fish, animals, and birds.

Last week our FUN campers at the Victoria location made solar powered ovens to cook s'mores in and they turned out great!
